- The current atrocities committed by Hamas towards Jewish women, children, and babies in Israel.
Divine Intervention:
Throughout history, God has intervened to protect the Jewish people:
- God raised up Moses to deliver the Jews from Pharaoh and Egypt.
- God raised up Queen Esther to save the Jews from Haman’s plot.
- After the Holocaust, God brought the Jews back to their homeland and reestablished Israel as a nation.
The Source of Antisemitism:
The root cause of the hatred for the Jewish people is Satan’s opposition to what God loves. God chose and loves the Jews as His own people.
“The Lord did not set his heart on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations! Rather, it was simply that the Lord loves you” – Deuteronomy 7:7-8
Supporting Israel:
As believers in Jesus Christ, Christians are “grafted in” to the promises given to the Jewish people. We owe them a great debt for giving us the Bible and our Messiah. Therefore, it is important to stand with Israel and pray for its peace.
The Role of Prophecy:
According to Bible prophecy, the reestablishment of Israel as a nation is a fulfillment of God’s plan. Israel has the right to defend itself against the current violence.
